Cascade Structural Restoration

These clients planned on doing a kitchen remodel. After a little bit of demo they found rot on an exterior wall. They kept tearing off the drywall, until it stopped. Well, the rot never stopped. During their demo they found out that the floor system was not safe either. The floor system consisted of 6 inch in diameter logs and random dimensional lumber.

They were frustrated with their findings and lost for what to do next.

These clients of ours were led to us by a referral. We received a phone call where they expressed their concerns about their project and how to move forward. We offered some guidance and an opportunity for an onsite consultation. We decided that the consultation was the best bet.

We met at their project property and went over details. These clients needed the home to be safe again and decide they would try a new floor plan in the process.

It was decided we were going to replace the whole main floor system, remove all the walls and replace the ceiling upstairs, and replace the windows. In the process McKellar Construction was able to remove and replace any rot that consisted in the home.

With assistance from the Building Inspector and Greg Keenan with Structural Associates Inc. we were able to brew up a brilliant game plan! We were on our way to totally transforming this home!

With no hiccups or delays, McKellar Construction was able to make this home safe again. We are so incredibly grateful to have been a part of creating a safe home.
